Ice Breaker was voted No. 1 in the USA TODAY 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards for 2022 for New Amusement Attractions. It has three multi-directional LSM launches, allowing the riders to travel on 2,750′ of track. The ride features a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida...a 93 feet tall spike with 100 degree angle. Meyer Associates provided conceptual design, architecture, and engineering services for the project. The area of sitework scope is approximately 1.8 acres, and included extensive site demolition, relocation of guest paths, etc. The building scope included a new two story loading building, new ride control building, new locker building, and a ride maintenance canopy area. Additionally, the scope included the renovation of an existing outdoor dining area into a new queue area, and the renovation of an existing shelter into ride photo.
