Meyer Associates is a Tampa-based architecture firm specializing in themed entertainment, commercial, higher-education, and custom residential projects.
Our Mission:
The design of our buildings, and the communities they help establish, must be created by recognizing and applying the underlying natural patterns and principles that have been utilized successfully throughout history. By using this holistic approach to design, we and our clients can together reach our mutual goal of creating lasting, contextually appropriate and sustainable places that are a pleasure in which to live, learn, work, play, and worship.
Long Term Relationships:
Meyer Associates has always had a long term approach to the practice of architecture. Taking the time to truly understand a client’s operations, company culture, and the way they approach all aspects of their business are the most important things an architect can do to provide the very best services over the long term. This means that an architect should approach every project as though it is equally important to a client’s bottom line. . . whether it’s a re-roofing project or a new multi-building/multi-phase project. Because of that approach, Meyer Associates has maintained many of its clients for decades. For instance, Geoffrey Meyer has provided services over 270 projects to United Parks & Resorts (aka SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment), and over 250 projects to the University of South Florida as of this writing.
Collaboration:
The profession of architecture is based on collaboration; beginning with the relationship we establish with our client, and continuing through to the relationship we build with the general contractor. In addition, there is another important collaborative aspect to our profession, this is our ability to assemble, partner with, and facilitate a large team of consultants.
In the design of buildings these consultants include structural engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, acoustical consultants, and many others. Due to the complexity and technology of today’s buildings, a collaborative, team approach to design is essential to the creation of great architecture.
This team approach is equally important in the creation of great neighborhoods, cities, and regions. Town Planning is a multi-faceted process and each facet requires a particular expertise. Depending on the scope of the project, the team can include transportation engineers, civil engineers, retail consultants, marketing consultants, sociologists, and many others.
Meyer Associates, Inc. strongly believes in this team approach to Architecture and Planning. We have invested many years in forging relationships with all the various consultants necessary to create exceptional design.
