This Sesame project more than doubled the size of the entire existing Land of the Dragons area, and created a new realm to highlight their long-time partnership with the Sesame Workshop. Meyer Associates provided conceptual design, architecture, and engineering services for the project. The scope of the project included the re-theming the existing area including 2 existing buildings, and 9 rides and play areas. The scope also included 7 new buildings including: a new retail/entry building (Abby Cadabby's Treasure Hut), a new restroom Building, a new combination Character Support/Photo Building, a new coaster loading building, a new ride control building, a new market (Cookie Monster's Trading Post), and a new Character Dining Pavilion. Lastly, the project also included a new children's roller coaster (Air Grover), a new water play area and filtration (Bert and Ernie's Water Adventure), a new ADA/Accessible play structure, and an addition to an existing climbing structure.
