Falcon’s Fury won the 10Best Award for the Best Non-Roller Coaster ride in the country, as voted by USA Today readers in an online poll. The ride reaches a maximum height of 335 feet (102 m), making it North America's tallest free-standing drop tower. It is also the first ride to pivot 90 degrees to drop guests looking face down to give the feel of skydiving. Meyer Associates provided conceptual design, architecture, and engineering services for the project. Associated work included the removal of the existing Sandstorm ride and existing queue building, as well as removal and re-installation of various children's rides for the crane path. New construction included a new drop tower, ride utilities and infrastructure, a new queue structure and control booth, a new electrical/ride control building and site improvements.
